Before you begin

  • Install Eclipse Animator from Creator Store.
  • Open a test place and add a rig that you can safely modify.
  • Choose one short movement, such as a head turn or arm raise.
  • Keep the controls reference nearby for timeline and transform shortcuts.

Add a character and create a project

1

Prepare an animatable rig

Select the rig in the Studio workspace, then open Eclipse Animator from the Plugins tab.

Expected result: the selected rig is ready to add to an Eclipse project.

2

Create the animation project

Create a project and add the selected rig. The character should appear alongside the Eclipse timeline.

Expected result: the rig and its tracks are visible in the editor.

Insert keyframes and change a pose

A keyframe stores a pose at a point on the timeline. Eclipse blends the motion between poses.

3

Record the starting pose

Move the playhead to the beginning of the timeline. Select the controls you plan to animate and press V to insert a keyframe.

Expected result: the timeline shows a starting keyframe for the selected controls.

4

Create a second pose

Move the playhead later in time. Adjust the rig with the transform tools, then press V again to record the new pose.

Expected result: the rig changes pose and the timeline shows another keyframe.

Adjust timing, preview, and iterate

5

Preview the full movement

Play the animation and watch the start pose, transition, and end pose.

Expected result: the character moves through the full timeline range.

6

Change the timing

Move the second keyframe earlier for a quicker action or later for a slower one. Press J when you need to scale the spacing of selected keyframes.

Expected result: the movement keeps the same poses but plays at a different speed.

Save the editable project

Saving keeps the timeline editable. Exporting creates output for use elsewhere.

7

Save the project

Select the save control in the Eclipse toolbar and give the project a clear name.

Expected result: the project appears in Eclipse when you return to the place.

Plan the export

Choose between a published Roblox animation, a module for a scripted sequence, or the Blender companion workflow.
